RIIS is also involved with:
- Innovation capacity building, planning and evaluation in various innovation and high-tech related disciplines (e.g. ICT, Materials technology, industrial engineering and many more). Clients include: Eskom, University of Pretoria, CSIR, Technology Top 100 adjudications.
- Innovation evaluations and value case evaluation leadership: Eskom, TWIB, University of Pretoria, Technology Top 100.
- RIIS Directors are judges at the Technology Top 100 (TT 100) awards and also adjudicates the FASA (Franchisee Association of South Africa) awards.
- RIIS is still responsible for sponsoring and judging the Innovation Competition for the Department of Engineering (University of Pretoria) on an annual basis.
- RIIS formulates innovation measurement criteria that includes innovation measurement baselines and sustainability measurement (GSSC, TT100, TWIB, Eskom, IDC)
- Through its partnerships with high-tech networks such as the Global Research Alliance, NineSigma and SAINe, RIIS has access to specialists in all high-tech and innovation related fields.
